The Pathway to Musical Excellence

Innovation drives our exams, supporting growth for music, students, and teachers.

Who Are We?

At ANZCA Music Examinations, we believe music exams should be more than a test — they should be a meaningful step in a musician’s growth.

Music is constantly evolving. It’s vibrant, diverse, and full of creative energy — and we design our exams to reflect that. As a non-profit examining body for the performing arts, we’re driven by a deep commitment to support the development of music, musicians, and music educators alike.

Our approach combines strong educational foundations with practical, real-world thinking. We aim to make the exam experience both challenging and rewarding — never intimidating. Teachers consistently value our high standards and the supportive atmosphere we foster.

We invite you to discover more about ANZCA through our website — and to join us in making music assessment a positive, inspiring part of every musician’s journey.

IN PERSON EXAMS

ANZCA’s in-person exams offer students a supportive, real-time assessment experience with qualified examiners. These sessions allow for direct interaction, immediate feedback, and the opportunity to perform in a focused, encouraging environment. Ideal for those who thrive in face-to-face settings, in-person exams uphold the personal connection at the heart of music education.

VIDEO EXAMS

For students who need more flexibility, ANZCA’s video exams provide a convenient alternative. Candidates can record and submit their performances from anywhere, on their own schedule, while still receiving detailed, constructive feedback. Video exams maintain the same high standards as in-person assessments and are a valuable option for remote learners, busy schedules, or those who prefer the comfort of familiar surroundings.
