ANZCA is proud to introduce an exciting, inclusive platform, allowing those who develop their performance skills in a band setting to receive the same benefits that their solo counterparts have by presenting for external assessment.
ANZCA is piloting this opportunity & encourages schools to become involved. Help pave the way for future band members!
BAND STRUCTURE and REQUIREMENTS
- A maximum of five (5) assessable students within an appropriate rock or jazz combination.
- A band can also include one non-assessed performer on any other instrument, or a backing track. This instrument or track cannot be the same as any other instrument in the band and must not double any of the assessed parts.
- Four (4) pieces are required to be performed for assessment, chosen from from repeated works in the ANZCA syllabuses, or as determined by the band leader. The repertoire should vary in style and should be chosen so each student can fulfil all requirements to the best of their ability.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment can be live or recorded. ANZCA will come to your venue or choose to use our Video Performance and ANZCA GO! assessment platforms. For more information regarding Video Performance Exams or ANZCA GO! click HERE!
One band – one score! Every assessed band member will receive the same marks and the same band comments. Individual remarks will also be included for a unique report.
